These phases are most often present in the form of Al5FeSi phase platelets and degrade alloys properties, especially mechanical. By applying additive elements - correctors (e.g. Mn, Cr, V) we can achieve the change of intermetallic phases morphology to more suitable form. Presented article deals with the influence of manganese as iron corrector on AlSi7Mg0.3 alloy microstructure and length of Al5FeSi phase. The increasing the manganese content reduces the length of Al5FeSi phase, but with higher contents, mainly the skeletal formations was observed instead of the Al5FeSi phase. The evaluation of mechanical properties didn't confirmed, that the higher amount of iron in the alloy significantly decreases a mechanical properties even with the use of a corrector. ER
